All rooms lead outdoors through sliding doors to the garden and the 15 by 5m (50 by 16ft) saltwater pool, with glorious views of the mountains surrounding the Constantia winelands. The covered and shaded verandah, with its dedicated barbeque area, is ideal for meals shared outdoors, with two tables effortlessly seating twelve, and four loungers invitingly arranged on the pool deck – an easy place to simply watch the birds in the indigenous bush beyond or enjoy a good read.
