This minimalistic and chic 5th floor apartment is located up a quiet and green side street off Green Point’s main road. For a stay in Cape Town the location just cannot be beaten- on foot you can easily get to the 60,000 seater Green Point stadium (football, rugby, mega-music concerts and all manner of festivals); the V&A (Victoria and Alfred) Waterfront, Green Point village and De Waterkant.
The images you see here are for the new look Hero City and will be available from mid December 2015. The apartment has been completely renovated and overhauled to create a minimalistic urban chic apartment. Every single item in this apartment has a purpose and has been carefully thought out with the sole purpose of creating an attractive and practical living space without compromising looks or comfort.
The studio is completely open plan and there is a floating screen which separates the sleeping area from the living area without compromising the feeling of spaciousness.
There is a wall mounted flat screen LCD TV with a selection of digital satellite channels (feature films, news and lots more plus speciality music channels) in the lounging area and high speed wireless internet throughout the apartment. A limited amount of data is included but clients are able to purchase additional data easily if required. The dining area seats 2 for dinner but can seat another 2 using the stools on the balcony.
The balcony will just fit two of you and your coffee or red wine. Choose between the cruise liners in Cape Town Harbour or the upper reaches of Green Point and Signal Hill and Devils Peak for views.
The double bed has a firm, hotel-quality mattress and 100% white cotton sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers.
The bathroom has a large walk in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a hob, washing machine, oven, mini fridge / freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. A good supply of utensils and cookware make home cooking an attractive proposition when your palette and wallet need respite from all the restaurants.
The apartment block is supremely secure: fully walled and fenced on the perimeter, electric fencing atop this. Access is via a double door security lobby or by car through remote controlled electric gates. This is all backed up by a 24 hour guard/concierge. Your parking is a bay in a courtyard within the secured perimeter of the building. There are 2 fast lifts giving access to all floors (and nice stairs if you prefer to get around under your own steam. A strong digital safe provides easy and keyless lock up security for your valuables and is large enough to hold 2 average sized laptop computers.

GO TO THESE PLACES IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD OF HERO CITY-
Manos– on your corner. Eternal Green Point eating place. Energetic yet unstressful. Good burger.
Il Leone Mastrontonio– De Waterkant Italian restaurant. Roadside terrace, wine and pasta with pancetta are memorable.
Origin– De Waterkant coffee shop. Worth hanging out at over a single estate extraction.
Gran’s Kitchen– hidden away in Green Points maze-like old residential area- part general dealer, part cluttered Gran’s kitchen, actually.
Cape Quarter– Mall in De Waterkant that manages to feel un-mall-like. Upmarket and interesting.
Le Petite Tarte– cute, croissanty.
The Point Virgin Active– Health club and gym with every size of dumbell and fitness device imaginable, squash, pools and medicine balls of many colours. No need to ever say no to the next muffin. Month and day passes can be arranged.
Why is it called Hero City? Got it out of a detective novel set in Moscow and thought it worked well for a bold, bravestudio apartment in a happening area.
