1 - Explore the vastness of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Kirstenbosch is famous across SA, and the globe, for being a treasure trove of natural beauty and amazing outdoor wonder all year around – but never more so than during Spring! Few public spaces in the Mother City are as pretty and lush as this expansive, national botanical garden is. 2 - Wonder over to West Coast National Park

With hidden beaches, secret coves, one gorgeous lagoon and some of the Cape’s most epic braai spots, the West Coast National Park is an amazing place to visit during springtime… and that’s before you even add the wonderland of vivid blooms, which pop up every Spring and grant this national park some serious flower power. Particularly if you can visit Postberg (which is open during August and September annually). The park is a relatively short drive from the Mother City, as day trips go, so you can easily travel there for a day of fun and adventure – or, if you prefer, rent out a house boat or one of the delightful self-catering cottages nestled protectively within the West Coast National Park’s vast perimeter. 3 - Head to Oranjezicht City Farm Market (OZCF)

The OZCF market is one of Cape Town’s most beloved markets. Part-indoor, part-outdoor, this scenic, popular Granger Bay market, located near the V&A Waterfront’s The Lookout Event Venue, is a wonderful place to go for a weekly fruit and veg shop; delicious homemade or organic foods, health drinks and all kinds of other fun and goodies too! It’s one of a few free-to-enter organic markets and is a rare find in any city. It bustles every Saturday, full to the brim with contented visitors, from morning to mid-afternoon. 4 - Explore the Cape Winelands

Few regions are as beautiful as the Cape’s wonderful winelands. Stretching from Somerset West to Montagu, there are so many awesome, award-winning wine farms to enjoy in this beautiful stretch of the Cape. Whether you visit Franschhoek or historic Stellenbosch, pretty Paarl or Wellington – or even the lush Durbanville Wine Valley or beyond, you are sure to encounter some wonderful wines, top-class estates, beautiful cellars and some great experiences in the process too!
