One of the best places to do city shopping, whether it’s for gifts or redecorating your family home, is Greenmarket Square. This market area could even be considered the pulsing heart of CBD shopping. Browse its stalls for a variety of fabrics, prints, paintings, outfits, sculptures, jewellery and beadwork and embark on an African adventure in the heart of the Mother City. For more information, visit Greenmarket Square at Burg Street & Longmarket Street, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town.

Photo credit: Mungo & Jemima (Coppelia Clothing and WAIF) via Facebook Aimed at shoppers (of all ages), who seek clothing with its own ‘voice’, Mungo & Jemima is the brainchild of Coppelia’s Kristy Bannerman and GOOD Clothing’s Marian Park-Ross. Together, the pair wanted to create a space for local designers to showcase their wares and so, in 2008, Mungo & Jemima was born. Though the flagship store will most likely call Long Street home, they’ve now opened another branch at the V&A Waterfront’s Watershed, and additionally offer an online shop for more remote buyers. Discover clothing and accessory items from GOOD Clothing, Coppelia, Selfi, Margot Molyneux and I Love Leroy, as well as Famke, Laloo and Pichulik to name just a few. For more information on Mungo & Jemima, call them on (021) 424 5016, or visit their stores at either 108 Long Street and at Shop B1 & 2 at The Watershed, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.
