3 - Be inspired by Chandler House

This small design shop and studio, the brainchild of innovative and talented SA designer, Michael Chandler, is located in an 18^th century Cape Georgian building. The building contains both the Voorkamer Gallery and the shop proper. At the Voorkamer Gallery, one can enjoy monthly exhibits, while the shop provides locally produced homeware, antiques, textiles, a vast art selection and artisanal gifts for purchase and perusal. 4 - Shop till you drop with Mungo & Jemima

Together, the pair wanted to create a space for local designers to showcase their wares and so, in 2008, Mungo & Jemima was born. Though the flagship store will most likely call Long Street home, they’ve now opened another branch at the V&A Waterfront’s Watershed, and additionally offer an online shop for more remote buyers.
